Insights from lived experiences
What is resilience? What is not resilience? How does resilience look different when approached from Global South perspectives? These were some of the questions discussed with Budshi Kismadi of Roemah Inspirit and Mónica Roa of Puentes — two organizations supported by WRI — during an interview with Lucia Nader from PACTO in November 2024.
Drawing on their journey and the lessons learned through WRI, Budshi and Mónica highlighted the evolving, multifaceted nature of resilience, defining it as much more than just survival. They emphasized the importance of grounding resilience in hope, dreams, care, collaboration and interconnectedness.
